How to Choose the Perfect Art Print for Your Space (Without Overthinking It)
Published by Mastry Art | Tampa, FL
If you’ve ever stood in a gallery—or scrolled through an online shop—and thought, “I love this… but where would I even put it?”—you’re not alone.
Choosing the right piece of art for your space can feel intimidating. But the truth is, you don’t need to be an interior designer or art critic to find a piece that fits beautifully. You just need a few simple guidelines—and the freedom to trust your instincts.
Here’s how to confidently choose a piece of art that feels right and looks right.
🎨 1. Let the Mood Lead
Start by asking: How do I want this room to feel?
Art has the power to completely shift the atmosphere of a space.
Want calm and clarity? Choose minimalist pieces like our Contour of Thought abstract line print — soft, flowing, and grounding.
Want something energizing? Look for bold colors or expressive brushwork that adds life to the room.
🛋️ 2. Think About the Space, Not Just the Wall
Size matters—but proportion matters more.
In smaller rooms, medium-sized prints or sets of two to three smaller works often work best.
For large open spaces, go bold with one impactful piece, or anchor the room with a gallery wall.

🖼️ 3. Match the Art to You—Not Just the Decor
Forget trying to “match the couch.” Art is personal.
Ask yourself:
What kind of lines, colors, or subjects am I drawn to?
Is there a piece that tells part of my story—or starts a conversation?
Whether you're moved by abstract line drawings, textured paintings, or surreal portraits, trust that instinct. It’s your space—make it meaningful.
🏡 4. Pickup or Delivery? You Decide.
At Mastry Art, you can shop online and pick up locally at our Tampa gallery—or have your artwork shipped straight to your door.
We believe art should be accessible, flexible, and personal. That’s why we offer both in-store pickup and secure nationwide shipping.
